International Conference #YouthMediaLife 2021
29 March – 1 April 2021.
The four-day conference organised by the interdisciplinary research platform #YouthMediaLife at the University of Vienna will bring together scholars from a range of disciplines to discuss topics concerning young people’s media lifeworlds: their relationships, their learning, and their identity formations in the context of their media practices.
The programme consists of over 100 papers, panels and pre-recorded presentations. Our remarkable keynote speakers are Susanne Baumgartner, Rodney Jones, Axel Krommer and Dafna Lemish.
Additionally, a social programme consisting of a virtual cocktail party, lunch breaks at a virtual Viennese coffee house and an evening at a Viennese hot dog stall will await you. These events offer informal networking opportunities and they will be accompanied by talented musicians based in Austria: Hearts Hearts, Wienerzucker, Birgit Denk and Anna Kos.
Registration is open and student early bird tickets are available for only 10€ until February 28th.
